Sensei Tyree holds a roku-dan (6th degree black belt) ranking in Isshin-Ryu Karate through the Order of Isshin-Ryu.

He began training at the age of 10 back when children were an oddity in karate schools. Twenty-seven years later, he has earned the respect of his peers for his intensive training ethic, attention to detail, and ability to integrate the methods of several arts into his classes.

During his competitive years, he consistently won first or second place in kata and kumite. He is the recipient of many national awards for teaching and competition. As a sensei, he now runs two dojos in the Newark, Delaware area. You can view his professional resume here.
